MBRU Achieves Above 90% in Happiness and Satisfaction Rate amongst Students, Faculty, and Staff
As a part of the overall national strategy of happiness and positivity in the UAE, MBRU’s Strategy and Institutional Excellence Department conducted an internal study measuring the overall happiness and satisfaction levels of the students, staff and faculty. The online survey is the 1st of its kind at the university and was conducted earlier this year.
The survey was comprised of 20 questions of which some came from the Center for Higher Education Data and Statistics, CHEDS, as per the Ministry of Education’s requirements. The survey tested 15 different dimensions such as the satisfaction of the facilities available to faculty, students and staff, the work environment, peers; and both personal and career growth.
The results were astoundingly positive, 96% of the faculty are happy to work at MBRU and would recommend it to a friend, 97.4% of the staff are happy to work at MBRU and would also recommend it to a friend, and lastly 92% of the students are happy at MBRU and would recommend the university to friends and family.
The Director of Strategy and Institutional Excellence, Dr. Mohamad Alameddine, stated, “This is the first happiness survey conducted at MBRU, and we are proud of the results which have clearly manifested the extraordinary institutional culture at MBRU. Through the 20 questions tailored for each of the three internal stakeholders: students, faculty and staff, we were able to clearly identify our areas of strength and more importantly opportunities for potential improvement. As our community grows, the results of future surveys will also change and new opportunities and challenges will surely arise. However, what will not change is our absolute resolve to top the national academic landscape in student, faculty and staff happiness and satisfaction by 2021.”
