MBRU enhances the skills of government employees with First Aid training for the Dubai Protocol Department
Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) provided a First Aid training program for employees of the Protocol Department – Dubai, the latest initiative in MBRU’s mission to advance health in the UAE.
Healthcare professionals from MBRU, the first medical university in Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), shared their medical expertise and health knowledge with employees from the Protocol Department, equipping them with the skills and confidence to serve as a first responder in an emergency situation where a person may require medical attention.
The First Aid program, which includes both practical and theoretical exercises, is the latest initiative in MBRU’s mission to advance health in the UAE and the region and aligns with its commitment to the Year of Zayed objectives to invest in the welfare, knowledge and capabilities of the people of the UAE.
“It is our duty to help share the knowledge and expertise of the healthcare professionals from the MBRU Simulation Center. One of our core values is connectivity and initiatives such as First Aid programs for government employees help us connect our healthcare professionals with the community,” said Dr. Mohammed Nasaif, Director of Professional Development at MBRU. “Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an American Heart Association Heart Saver First Aid CPR AED course card, which is valid for two years internationally.”
“Furthermore, these programs are a true platform for MBRU to align with the Year of Zayed, specifically in investing in people’s welfare, knowledge and capabilities, one of the key values of the visionary leader, the Founding Father of the UAE, the late HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,” he added. “We thank the Protocol Department – Dubai, for their recognition of the importance of equipping employees with crucial skills and knowledge that can make a difference.”
